To turn on the eMac, lightly touch the center of the button. The button is located on the right side of the computer by the network port.

Once the eMac is turned on, it goes to a log in screen. Click on EBCS Students. The student password is ebcs.

Once you have logged in, you can see that there is a panel of applications at the bottom. This is called the dock. Some of the applications on the dock aren’t active.

At the top on the left side are three buttons. Red is to close out of the application, yellow is to minimize the window and put it in the dock, and green is to maximize the window.

To open up the applications folder, click on Go... Applications.

To log into the server, click on Go... Connect to Server. Click on the icon for EBCS_2. If it doesn’t show up, type in the IP Address - 209.56.134.2 (for students).

To empty the trash, go to Finder... Empty Trash.

To save your documents to the server, click on Save. Click on the single arrow pointing down. Move the arrow all the way to the left until you see the year you graduate. Select your name and folder, and then click save.

To log out, go under the apple menu and click log out. This will take you to the log in screen you saw when you first turned on the computer.

To shut down the computer, go under the apple menu and click shut down. Please shut down your computer when you are finished.
