Future
Projects
These
pictures are of the second
story of the former Bank Building (now our Historical Society)
as it looked in 2006.
2007
The
fall of 2006 brought about several of these changes. The walls forming
the small room (former kitchen) at the top of the stairs has been
removed. Ozone air purification was done to kill all remaining mold and
odor from the leaking roof which was repaired many years ago. The
panelling was removed from the south and east walls and the exterior
walls studded up. The entire perimeter including the attic area has now
been insulated with urethane insulation.
2008
The
Society received donations for all 12 windows on the second floor. The
completed door and window replacement project exceeded $17,000. Our
society greatly appreciates the interest in this project.

May 2009
The
windows and jambs have been stained and varnished. Urethane insulation
has been sprayed around all of the frames. Our next step is to
have climate control installed.

2010
The society has received a very generous donation from Don Adams
to fund the replacement of our basement and second floor
stairway. Our previous staircase required you to enter from the
exterior of our building, while the new staircase will have interior
access via our main floor. The project is expected to be
completed by late July. Please plan to visit!
