The C.A. & N. Railroad Display
This showcase features photos and newspaper articles about the construction of the Chicago, Anamosa, and Northern Railroad.
Also
included are: a map of the train route through Buchanan County, a photo
of the tracks crossing the Buffalo Creek, the sale bill from the sale
of the railroad and an original lantern used by the C.A.& N.
railroad crew. Added in 2008, an engineers survey chain and an eighteen inch length of
rail found on the C.A.&N. right-of-way near Monti. Also added
is an article from the New York Times regarding the sale of the
railroad.
