ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Breakfast will be served on Monday morning but not lunch.

 

Congratulations to the girlsŐ basketball team on their Academic Achievement Award from the Iowa GirlsŐ HS Athletic Union. The Excellence Award is given to teams achieving a combined GPA of 3.2 to 3.6. EBŐs 18 players reached at combined total of 3.427.

 

Congratulations to the winners of the student council election on Wednesday.  For Senior Class Representative - Kendra Kehrli and Cody Southworth; Juniors - Dusty Decker and Josh Reeder; Sophomores – Scott Bullerman and Britta Fults.  Freshmen Class President - Holly Cook, Vice-President - Markia Griffin, Secretary - Haylee Lau, Treasurer - Kylee Cooksley.  We will decide the Freshmen Representatives on Friday during Social Studies.

 

HS Softball Shirt order forms are available in the office. They are due on Monday by 11 a.m. with payment.

 

The following students need to stop in the office: Carter Boggess, Chance Cook, Shiloh Driscoll, Joshua Jarrett, Hailey Main, Trenton Neuhaus, Shay Rudd, Ryan Takes, Vincent Takes, Luke Werner, Nile White, Anthony Witherow.

 

COLOR GUARD: Any current 8th-11th grade (non-band) students interested in, or who would like to find out more about color guard for next year sign up or talk to Mr. McBride.  Color guard rehearses individually and with the marching band during the school day.  It can involve working with flags and creating/performing choreography.

BAND ENROLLMENT: Interested in joining the band but didn't get on the bandwagon in 5th grade?  Now is your chance!  Come talk with Mr. McBride about what you can do to be a part of East Buchanan's state-recognized band program!

 

CURRENT BAND STUDENTS:  Trimester 3 band bills were mailed out this week - make sure to pay your bills tomorrow.

 

AS OF MAY 16TH THERE WILL BE NO USE OF ANY KITCHEN PRODUCTS IN FCS ROOM

INCLUDING: FRIDGE, MICROWAVE, SPATULAS, & UTENSILS. DOORS WILL BE LOCKED DURING LUNCHES!

 

HS Students: Stop in the office to pick up a year-end check out sheet. You must return books, pay library fines, class dues, and lunch account balances before the end of the year

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL NOTICE: Lunch Accounts, fines, & fees must be paid, and all books must be checked in by May 18. Remember the eighth graders will be at Adventureland on May 21.

The high school baseball team will be hosting its SHOUT-SUNFLOWER SEED SCRIMMAGE on Friday, May 18th at 5:30 pm.  Admission to the game is a Shout Stain Remover stick or a bag of sunflower seeds.

 

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK GUYS, turn in your uniforms as soon as possible to the high school office in a plastic bag with your name on it.  Thanks Coach Gage

 

HS Track Girls, bring your sweats to Mr. Schloss in a grocery bag with your name marked. Leave in the office as soon as possible.

 

Volleyball meat sales will be in Friday, May 18. You may pick up your meat right after school. Volleyball girls it is your responsibility to make sure your entire product gets picked up.

Students with possessions in the locker rooms and lockers MUST remove everything before May 21 at noon. Leftovers will be thrown or donated.

Walking 4 Winthrop - 5K run/walk - on Sat., June 16 @ 8 a.m. Start and end at the Winthrop City Park. Registration forms @ www.cityofwinthorp.com. Deadline June 4. For more information see the poster in the hallway.

 

EB Custodial Staff: Students interested in working for the custodial staff this summer, stop in the office for an application.

 

Winthrop Public Library: MS / HS students who are interested in helping at the Winthrop Library with the summer reading program, pick up an application in the office.

 

JOB INFORMATION AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE: Fetter Detasseling, Monsanto, Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier, & volunteer program at the Buchanan County Health Center.
