Congo is a country in Central Africa. It became independent in 1960. For a few years the new nation was referred to
as “Congo (Brazzaville).” The names in parentheses showed their respective capital. In 1971, however, Congo
(Kinshaea) change it name to Zaire, so they ended the confusion.
