Berlin

Location:
Central Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, between the Netherlands and Poland, south of Denmark

Area:
Slighty smaller than Montanta
Total area: 139,756 sq miles
Water: 4,846 sq miles
Land: 134,910 sq miles

Land boundaries:
Total: 2,250 sq miles

:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland

Climate:
Temperate and marine; cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers; occasional warm wind.

Natural resources
:
Iron ore, coal, potash, timber, lignite, urainium, copper, natural gas, salt, and nickel

Issues:

Industries contribute to air pollution; acid rain, from sulfur dioxide emissions, is damaging forests; pollution in the Baltic Sea from raw sewage from rivers in eastern Germany; hazardous waste disposal.

World War II:
Germany was the main country to beat in World War II because they took over allot of countries. The leader of this movement was Adoph Hitler.

Government type:

Germany’s government type is a Federal Republic.
