Monica Erika Geller

Monica, who is played by Courteney Cox Arquette, was a cook at a trendy restaurant. She rents the apartment, which use to be her grandmother's, where much of the show's action takes place.
     Monica is an essential part of the group of Friends. She has a real maternal, caretaking side to herself that makes her the center of the group. Monica loves to cook and clean and is a perfectionist which would show why she loves being hostess. Monica, in the groups words, is "a neat freak." Many plots that focus on Monica involve her in her apartment playing hostess. In addition to Monica, many episodes that centered around Ross and her with their parents. Their parents love them both but Monica has never been quite good enough for her mother.
