Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954)

Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954)

"Our Constitution is colorblind."--John Marshall Harlan

Is this a true statement of the United States constitution? This is a question United States citizens have been asking themselves for centuries. This question stayed a controversy until 1954 because legislatures throughout the years had avoided the debate. In 1954, the United States government was forced to face the issue. In a United States Supreme Court case, Brown v. The Board of Education of Topeka, a landmark decision was made ruling for an integrated society.
