LOCATION: It extends from 9 degrees-22 degrees North, and 60 degrees-89 degrees West. It is surrounded by Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Central America and South America.
SIZE: It is 1,063,000 sq. miles long.
INTERESTING FACTS:
The Caribbean Sea is used as a major shipping route between the U.S. and the Panama Canal.
Its deepest point is more than 6,000 f.t. deep.
It is popular resort and tourist area.
It is often called the Arm of the Atlantic Ocean.
Navigation is very easy on the Caribbean.
