A small baby boy by the name of Adolf Hitler was born around 6:30 P.M. on April 20th, 1889. He was born in the small Austrian city of Branau to Alois Hitler and his third wife, Klara. Hitler's father, Alois, was a respected customs official.
As a young child, Hitler attended church services regularly, and was proud to sing in the choir. He was a fairly good student, receiving high marks in most classes. During his last year of school he failed German and Mathematics, and only received good marks in art and gym. He got so discouraged he dropped out of school at the age of 16.
As a child his future dream was to become a famous artist. In order to pursue that goal, he moved to Vienna, Austria, home of the Academy of Art. He failed the entrance test on his first try, but was only more encouraged and a year later, 1907, he took the test again. He failed worse than the first time, in fact it was so bad the dean of the academy told him he would never make it as a painter. This crushed Hitler so bad, he never forgot the horrible rejection for the next 35 years. Many wonder, What if He would have had some talent in the art department? That may have spared the world form the horrible war.
He continued to live poorly in Vienna, until 1913 when he moved to Munich. He continued to live poorly, but in 1914 World War I broke out and he joined the Imperial Army. In 1918 World War I ended, leaving Germany defeated. This made Hitler very angry, for he hated to lose anything. He believed the Jews and Communists were to blame for the loss, and that was started his disliking of anyone but Germans.
After the war Hitler remained in the army for a period of time before he started his own plans. He attended many meetings of the "German's Work Party." He began to fill others heads with his beliefs and eventually became the leader of the "Germans Work Party." That was the beginning to a whole new Germany.
After getting out of jail for fraud of the government, Hitler began slowly developing plans. The first thing he did to the Jews was take away their right to vote. That rapidly developed into not being able to marry outside of their own beliefs and religion, and then taking away job positions such as; a teacher, doctors, lowers, etc. After that began many Jews fled the country. Today's people wonder why exactly the Germans bought into Hitler's beliefs. The German's economy was falling apart because of World War I, and the Germans believed Hitler was their answer to get them out that mess.
Hitler started his own German army, but was only allowed to have 100,000 men according to a treaty. Hitler broke that treaty and announced wide spread that he needed more men. Factories started producing weapons and bombs, and rallies were held for the Germans. When Hitler broke that treaty the allies were a little concerned, but stayed back to see exactly what was going to happen. They did nothing until, on September 1, 1939 Germany attacked Poland. Britain and France couldn't hold back any longer, and they declared war on Germany. A few days later, World War II broke out.
Hitler and his men rounded up all the Jews, Communists, and Gypsies, then took them to the dreaded concentration camps. Homosexuals or Bisexuals were viewed as Inferior, and were also taken to the camps. Hitler made sure that the camps couldn't have possibly gotten any worse. Camps such as Auschwitz, Treblinka, Bergen, and Belsen were fully equipped with gas chambers, or beating chambers. In those 4 camps more than 6 million Jews, and others, were killed by the Nazis.
Although the German army was strong, the Allies were stronger. On April 30th, 1945 Adolf Hitler committed suicide in his bunker, by shooting himself in the mouth. After he was found dead, his body was cremated, but it unknown what happened to the ashes. On May 7th, 1945 Germany surrendered, and the Allies won yet another war.
