Why Is This Place Famous?

7th Grade "Why Is This Place Famous" Projects

The 7th Grade Social Studies classes recently researched several of the world's most famous places for a poster project and oral presentation. They have taken the information they gathered for these presentations and developed informational web pages.

Using Simple Text, students designed and constructed their web pages. In doing this, each student learned basic HTML commands along with page layout skills. Students used Bells 'n Whistles as a resource to locate a background and divider. These web sites feature the results of the research and a graphic of their famous place. Many students used Noodle Tools to prepare their bibliographies and either the Amazing Picture Machine or Pics4Learning to locate a graphic of their famous place.
