Mediterranean Sea

Location: The Mediterranean Sea is located with Europe to the North, Asia to the East, and Africa to the South.

Size: The size of the Mediterranean Sea has a very large location. It covers over 969,100 square miles and it is 2,220 miles long.

Discovered By: The Mediterranean Sea was discovered by Vasco da Gama. ( date is not known)

Interesting Information: Some interesting info about the Mediterranean Sea is that because of the sand and the lime and the clay that the Mediterranean Sea’s floor is made of it has a bluish tint to it. Also there is this very pesky fruit fly that is called the Mediterranean Fruit Fly. The Fruit Fly ate everything and destroyed everything it touched. It was found all over the world.
