Location: The northern border of the Gulf of Mexico is touching the U.S. The eastern is touching Cuba, and the western is touching Mexico. The gulf of Mexico is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Straits of Florida and to the Caribbean Sea by the Yucatan Channel.
Size: The Gulf of Mexico is about 1,800,000 sq. km. and It extends 1770 km. east to west.
